Robert Quinn sacks Aaron Rodgers, celebrates with discount double check

There hasn’t been a lot for Bears fans to celebrate in this Packers rivalry over the last couple of decades, so it’s the little things that feel like wins. Case in point, the first quarter of Sunday night’s game at Lambeau Field.

The Bears defense had a big stand against the Packers offense on their first series, forcing a three-and-out and giving Chicago the ball back in prime field position, which they converted into a Cairo Santos field goal.

A big reason for that defensive stand was outside linebacker Robert Quinn’s sack of Rodgers on second down, which pinned Green Bay inside their own 15-yard line.

Oh, but it gets better.

Quinn gave Rodgers a little taste of his own medicine celebrating with Rodgers’ famous discount double check.

Quinn now has 13 sacks on the season, which is the third most all-time in Bears single-season history since 1982, which is when sacks became an official statistic.

That sack gives Robert Quinn 13.0 on the season and marks the third most all-time in Bears single-season history among totals since 1982 when sacks became an official statistic.

The Bears lead the Packers 3-0 in the first quarter.
