Robert Pattinson is said to be the favourite to play Batman in the new Matt Reeve's superhero movie, expected to be released in June 2021.
According to an exclusive with Variety , Pattinson is the top choice in actors to lead the role, however the Batman suit is yet to be filled.
Deadline also reports that although Pattinson is the favourite, another British actor, Nicholas Hoult, is also in the running.
Yet we won't have to wait too long to find out who exactly who will take to the character created by Bob Kane as the pre-production of the film is expected to commence this summer.

There's been wide speculation over who will become Batman after actor Ben Affleck stepped down from directing and the title role, and handed over duties to director Matt Reeves.
However Affleck, 46, is still set to produce the Warner Bros.' DC Extended Universe film following his announcement in January of this year.
Reeves, 53, is best known for his work on Planet of the Apes and Cloverfield.
Whoever takes the leading role will be the seventh actor to play Batman after Adam West, Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, George Clooney, and Affleck.
Pattinson, 33, shot to fame for his heart-throb vampire role in The Twilight Saga and will soon appear in The Lighthouse, which will have its world premiere in just a few days on May 19 at the Cannes Film Festival.

Hoult, 29, has been on the big screen since a child in About A Boy, then young TV drama Skins, before taking on more renowned movie roles such as in X-Men Dark Phoenix, which is set to be released in the UK early next month.
