Robert Nkemdiche signs with Dolphins, lands on PUP

Former Arizona Cardinals first-round pick Robert Nkemdiche has a new team. After being released by the Cardinals two weekends ago, he has agreed to terms with the Miami Dolphins on a one-year contract.

Nkemdiche joins quarterback Josh Rosen as the second former first-round pick to land in Miami.

He will not yet be able to practice with the Dolphins, coming off a December ACL tear, and he was placed on the physically unable to perform list. The Dolphins can activate him at any time. He was on PUP when the Cardinals released him.

He has immense physical talent but minor injuries and inconsistencies haunted him in three seasons. He has 4.5 career sacks, all last season, and 10 career tackles for loss, nine of which came in 2018.
