Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski has praised Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Klich following Poland's victory over Bosnia on Wednesday.
The forward struck twice for his nation during the victory in Krakow, with the second assisted by Klich as he caught the eye on international duty.
That has continued a decent start to the season for the midfielder, who has played an important role for the Whites since their return to the Premier League.
Klich spoke about his positioning and enjoyment in his role after the match, with Lewandowski's comments after the match showing that he also enjoyed his partnership.
“Especially in the first half, we put pressure on Bosnia and we felt that we wanted to play forward and score goals,” Lewandowski told TVP Sport.
“There were actually a few chances to score a goal early, but in the end, our patience got us a goal.
“Karol (Linetty) played a great match, Mateusz also shows that he is in great shape. In addition, young wolves, it is such a breath of fresh air for the benefit of the team. With each subsequent meeting, they will all help us, there will be more choice.”
Fans on social media were also full of praise for the midfielder, who has been a valuable asset for Leeds in recent seasons under Marcelo Bielsa.
He played for Poland in a more advanced role though, slotting in behind Lewandowski in a number 10 position, and that could open the door to a new approach to his game with Leeds.
Tyler Roberts and Rodrigo have featured in that position previously for Leeds, along with Pablo Hernandez, but Klich is now a different option to consider.
