Between his internet-breaking Bonds underwear campaign, successful stint on Dancing With The Stars and feature film debut in Disney’s Zootopia 2, 2025 was well and truly the year of Robert Irwin. The 22-year-old’s career skyrocketed, and his public image successfully transitioned from the khaki-wearing, bowl-cut-rocking child star we all know and love to a full-blown heartthrob.
It’s because of this that fans were shook by Channel 10’s announcement that he would be returning to host I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2026 alongside Julia Morris. Irwin joined the reality show in 2024 as Dr Chris Brown’s replacement — earning a Gold Logie nom and a whole new fanbase along the way — but rumours swirled that American shows might poach him following his global takeover.
Well, it turns out his return to I’m A Celeb wasn’t cheap, with a new report suggesting Channel 10 splashed out the big bucks to keep him on the show.

Robert Irwin’s I’m A Celebrity 2026 salary leaks
Irwin’s salary for hosting the upcoming season of the reality show was reportedly around $3 million, according to New Idea. Sheesh.
“That’s genuinely the ballpark he’s playing in now,” an insider told the publication. “A lot of American shows approaching him are hovering around that figure.”
The figure is a HUGE jump from his first season, when he reportedly earned over $430,000 for his six-week appearance, according to Daily Mail. It’s unknown exactly how much money his co-host, Morris, is on, but it was rumoured in 2023 that she was paid around $700,000 per season.
With a large chunk of the show’s budget going towards the hosts, it’s no wonder this year’s season was pre-recorded at the end of 2025 to potentially save some money. A production insider told Woman’s Day that the series was filmed in late November and wrapped just before Christmas, and three alternate endings were recorded with each of the three finalists to prevent spoilers from leaking.
How much are contestants paid on I’m A Celebrity?
If Irwin’s salary is true, it would make him the highest-paid person in I’m A Celeb’s 12-year history. Cricketer Shane Warne previously held the record after earning a rumoured $2 million on the show in 2016.
Other reported salaries include Nick “The Honey Badger” Cummins on “around $250,000 to $300,000” in 2023, Dave “Hughesy” Hughes on $250,000 last year, and Kerri-Anne Kennerley on $180,000 for her infamous four-day stint in 2023. Meanwhile, the majority of contestants are believed to be on deals between $35,000 and $100,000.
Season two winner Brendan “Fev” Fevola is one of the few contestants who has publicly shared details about their I’m A Celebrity salary and explained that you get more money the longer you stay in the jungle.
“In 2015 I got paid $250,000 upfront, and then $5,000 every show after the [first] two weeks,” he said on The Fox’s Fifi, Fev & Nick. “So you’d lay there on a Sunday and you’d think, ‘There’s another 7 days, there’s $35,000, boom. Hopefully, they don’t have an eviction during the week’.”
Hey, I wouldn’t mind eating a bull testicle for that much money!
