This past week, Robert Griffin was in the news again.
This time, Griffin announced that he is going to write a tell-all book exposing the dysfunction of the Washington Football franchise. His publisher said the book will detail “the shocking mismanagement and toxic culture within the most dysfunctional professional football team in America.”

Yes, no doubt there has been much dysfunction within the Washington franchise and quite often we witnessed it from the top leaders like owner Daniel Snyder and team president Bruce Allen.
Yes, Griffin had a huge rookie season in 2012, completing 258 of 393 passes (65.6%) for 3200 yards, 20 touchdowns and only five interceptions. Griffin dazzled fans with his running 120 times for 815 yards, seven touchdowns. leading the league, averaging 6.8 yards per carry.
Griffin promises to expose the WFT dysfunction. Does he mean he will also be confessing his own dysfunction such as how he reacted to his backup Kirk Cousins playing well in a win over Cleveland? Will Griffin detail how he declared after the 2012 season he would never again run that zone-read offense that brought him huge success? Will Robert include when as a pocket passer he was horrible, unable to pull the trigger and hit open receivers downfield? Or when after a loss, he blamed others, yet was comparing himself to Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers?
When Ryan Fitzpatrick went down in week one, Robert tweeted for Washington to make the call (to Griffin to return as a QB). Griffin appeared delusional like he might not yet comprehend just how bad he was as a pocket-passer, being released by Washington, Cleveland and Baltimore, who signed Griffin to be backup in a style of offense he in 2013 vowed to never run again.
Oh, Griffin might write his book, and attempt to expose all involved. However, isn’t there too much out there that is public record that will in turn also expose Robert Griffin?
Griffin continues to play the victimization card when the truth is, ownership, administration and coaches repeatedly gave him opportunities and Robert did not come through for them nor his teammates in any season following 2012. Are fans and his teammates simply going to forget the fact that he cost Washington first-round draft choices in 2012-2014 which severely handcuffed the organization?
This could get ugly and quickly. I can’t help but wonder does Robert Griffin to this day possesses an actual awareness of the vital role he himself played in that dysfunction?
