Twitter user @tris_phipps has created a series of hilarious online posts comparing the Iron Man actor's threads to Nottingham buses.
Retweeted 1,300 times and liked by nearly 4,000 people, the threat shows pictures of Downey Jnr side-by-side with buses apparently sharing the same sartorial inspiration.
Buses include the 36 to Chilwell, the Skylink, the 'funky 34 to Broadmarsh' and the Red Arrow to Derby.
It is the latest in a trend of comparing celebrities and public figures to inanimate objects using a matching colour spectrum - Diane Abbott, Theresa May and Harry Styles have all already been given the 'celebrity as...' treatment.
