Robert Burns Ellisland Farm is working to develop new income streams and will hold its first Dram and Bannock Tour today.
It has been developed in collaboration with Discover South Scotland for the travel trade to encourage more visitors.
Caitlin MacDonald, development officer at Ellisland, was busy getting ready yesterday for the new venture which, it is hoped, will be the first of many visits to come.
The specialised tour will include a storyteller and the visitors will receive a wee bottle of Annandale Distillery’s Man O’ Words whisky – named for the Bard himself – and served a specially-baked bannock just like the ones Jean Armour cooked on her stove.
