Roberson to see time during Blue & White scrimmage

All the news out of Thunder training camp regarding Andre Roberson continues to be positive.

Earlier this week, Billy Donovan said that Roberson was ‘practicing with no restrictions’, and now the Oklahoma City head coach has indicated Roberson will take part in Sunday’s Blue & White Scrimmage.

Donovan told Maddie Lee of The Oklahoman that while Roberson will participate, he still isn’t sure how many minutes Roberson will get.

“Because he’s just got back to training camp, back to doing things, obviously we’re taking inventory of how he’s feeling, how he feels the next day, all those kinds of things. Obviously we want him to go out there and play. I think the medical staff with Andre will probably give me some direction on what the minutes would look like.”

Roberson is continuing to work back from the left patellar tendon tear suffered in January 2018 that has caused him to miss the better part of two seasons.

The 27-year-old said at media day that he remains confident he can return to his All-NBA Defensive second shape from the 2016-2017 season.

Sunday’s Blue & White Scrimmage will go a long way in indicating how far Roberson has come since suffering his initial injury and subsequent set back last fall.
