Robby McCrorie on West Ham's transfer radar as Rangers keeper attracts Premier League interest

West Ham are on the trail of Rangers keeper Robby McCrorie.

The Hammers have been impressed by the form of the Scotland under-21 starlet and see him as a long term successor to Lukasz Fabianski.

McCrorie, 22, is currently on loan at Livingston after spending the first half of the season at Queen of the South, where he has just been named player of the year.

He has two years left on his contract and Rangers are keen for him to commit to the club for the long term, with preliminary talks already underway.

However, the interest from David Moyes has thrown a spanner in the works - and other top level clubs from England and the continent are also monitoring his situation.

Moyes is on the lookout for a youthful challenger to 35-year-old Fabianski, the Polish internationalist who has previously played with clubs including Arsenal and legia Warsaw.

McCrorie fits the bill and continued his impressive run of form at Palmerston in the second half of the campaign at the Tony Macaroni Arena.

Steven Gerrard has previously stated he sees McCrorie, twin brother of Ibrox midfielder Ross, as the ideal successor for veteran Allan McGregor.

But Rangers could face a fight to keep hold of him if West Ham table an offer in a bid to lure him to the riches of the Premier League.
