Robbie Williams 'unrecognisable' as he sports a new look at Soccer Aid - and fans are swooning

Viewers watching Soccer Aid at home did a double take when they clocked Robbie Williams.

The pop heart-throb sent fans into a tizz when he arrived at the Etihad Stadium sporting a mohawk.

Looking bronzed, the 47-year-old father-of-four had fans swooning.

"#teenagecrush," said another as his edgy look cast memories back to a look he sported in the late nineties.

Others said they hardly recognised him.

"I didn’t recognise Robbie Williams," said one.

"Is it just me or does Robbie Williams look like a Robbie Williams lookalike? Or have I just not seen him for ages?" asked another.

The Rock DJ singer's mohawk was unveiled by his wife Ayda Field this summer.

"@robbiewilliams In a hair life crises …#newhaircut," she Instagrammed.

Last month Robbie's son Charlie, six, requested the same hairstyle as his singer dad and he duly obliged with the family clippers.

Others praised the Soccer Aid founder's work over the years to raise funds for the children's charity UNICEF.

"I really have a lot of time for Robbie Williams. What he has done with @socceraid is amazing," said one.

Fans were excited to spot Robbie with football legend and UNICEF goodwill ambassador David Beckham, who also famously sported a mohawk back in the noughties, at the England versus World XI FC game.

Ahead of the match Robbie Instagrammed: "Can’t wait for Soccer Aid for UNICEF! Over the years #SoccerAid has raised over £47million to help @unicef_uk reach children in danger.

"As we come together for a game of football – let’s also come together for children around the world. Donations this year will be doubled up to £6.3 million thanks to @CIFFchild."
