He’s made documentaries about aliens, now he’s turned the cameras on another out-of-this-world character: himself.
Robbie Williams has invited filmmakers into his home, and has a cameraman chronicling his life at home in LA with wife Ayda Field and their four children.
“I’m making a documentary - people are making a documentary about me,” he boasted, introducing his social media followers to a cameraman called Leo.
During filming, Robbie has opened up about his battles with anxiety, admitting that despite his outward confidence, his struggle with agoraphobia put a strain on his early relationship with Ayda.
“Social anxiety is heartbreaking,” he said, while the cameras rolled. “I like people, I like people’s company. It’s an overwhelming crippling fear.”
Details of where the footage will air have not been announced, but Robbie detailed how anxiety medication has helped him, he continued, adding: “I seem to be walking into a calmer, clearer, kinder place in middle age.
"The anxiety is slowing down.
“I’ve gone to the gym of life and being amongst people, the stronger my sociability muscles have become. I don’t think I have social anxiety anymore.”
In 2018, Robbie went hunting for aliens with Radio 4, and in 2000, shortly after he got sober, Robbie made a tour documentary Nobody Someday.
