Robbie Williams' songwriter aiming for Christmas Number One with expletive-ridden tune

It’s set to be an XX-Xmas with one of the most expletive-ridden contenders for Number One ever …..featuring the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

The song - called Thank F*** It’s Christmas - is from songwriter Guy Chambers, along with the world-famous orchestra, and features a singer known as Trickster.

The song reflects on what a depressing year 2022 has been with soaring interest rates and Covid, as well as taking aim at the government and billionaires.

The chorus says: “Thank f*** it’s Christmas/Let’s all live as one/Thank f*** it’s Christmas/Bring joy to everyone.”

Guy Chambers says: ‘It was an interesting challenge to write a Christmas song that reflects the tensions and stresses that we are currently living under, but with “Thank F*** It’s Christmas” I think we’ve achieved it.’

The track will also feature a clean version ‘Praise Be It’s Christmas’, whilst profits from the single will go towards child welfare and tackling social hunger.

Trickster’s identity has not been revealed and is set to start a guessing game.

Trickster co-penned the track with Chambers, and comedian Steve Furst, who previously created comic alter-ego, and cabaret singer, Lenny Beige. Chambers has worked with stars including Robbie Williams.

Ian Maclay of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra said: ‘It was great to work with Guy Chambers who is such a respected and legendary figure in the music business, and we hope that this recording receives the attention it deserves.’
