Robbie Williams set for 'best Christmas present of all' with return to hometown

Robbie Williams is pleading ‘Let Me Entertain You’ to his hometown as he returns to Stoke for play his first show in his beloved Vale Park Stadium next year.

The 45-year-old is set to perform the very special show in aid of the Donna Louise Hospice for Children and Young People, Unicef UK and The Hubb Foundation on Saturday, June 20, 2020.

Robbie, who was given the freedom of the city five years ago, said: “Stoke-on-Trent made me. My heart, my humour, it’s all from Stoke. Cut me and it’s through me like a stick of rock.”

He added: “It has always been an ambition of mine to play a show at Port Vale and I’m delighted that now it’s actually going to happen. This is like the best Christmas present of all for me!”

The former Take That star has always been committed to his local football team. He’s mentioned them in song lyrics, often wears their kit on stage and once stumped up £250,000 to bail the cash strapped League One club out of trouble.

He clearly Never Forgets where he came from.
