Robbie Williams says he'd like to perform at Glastonbury Festival 2020

Robbie Williams has revealed he wants to headline at Glastonbury Festival next year.

The British singer, known for hits including 'Angels' and 'Let Me Entertain You', made the admission during an interview with The Sun.

Williams said: "I’d like to headline and that’s what I’d like to do, if I did anything. As far as I know, nothing is in the air for that. But they know where I am if they need me. I don’t want to do the legends slot, though."

The former Take That member was speaking at the launch of his Christmas album, which features Rod Stewart, Bryan Adams and boxer Tyson Fury.

Williams claimed he did not particularly enjoy performing at Worthy Farm in 1998.

He said: "When I was at Glastonbury it felt as if the rest of the festival was like: ‘What the f*** are you doing here, you c**t'?’"

But the multi-award winner explained that his good friend Adele has inspired him to seek a return, after watching her set on the Pyramid Stage in 2016.

Asked about Tyson Fury's part on his upcoming album, Williams was effusive in his praise of the heavyweight.

He said: "He’s got universal [sic] amounts of energy and charisma so I’m lucky to have him. I’m lucky he said yes."

The Rock DJ singer even suggested Fury could release his own album in the future, given his talent.

"If Bradley Walsh can do an album, Tyson Fury’s doing one," Williams said.
