Robbie Williams poses in Sunderland shirt as he continues training with Olympian Tony Jeffries

No regrets, Robbie Williams has been caught posing in a Sunderland shirt!

The former Take That star is a well-known Port Vale fan and is unlikely to be switching his allegiances any time soon, however.

The reason he's been pictured wearing a Sunderland shirt is because of his friendship with former Sunderland Olympian Tony Jeffries.

The boxer won a bronze medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, but was forced to retire from the sport before meeting such expectations in the professional ranks due to hand injuries.

Rather than get down about the disappointment though, the Sunderland man made a new life for himself in LA as a fitness coach and gym owner.

His Box N Burn academy has proven a huge hit in the States and has been frequented by many stars including Hollywood actor Mickey Rourke.

And the latest to work with Jeffries is Angels-singer Williams, who has taken Jeffries with him to Las Vegas where he is currently completing a residency which started in March.

And this summer, Sunderland employee Kate Smith made the trip to Vegas to see Robbie and left him and Jeffries a present in the form of Sunderland shirts which bore their names on the back.

Jeffries posted a picture of the pair wearing their shirts to Twitter, with Williams giving the iconic point to the back pose in one.

Williams is no stranger to Sunderland's Stadium of Light, of course. He performed there as part of his reunion with Take That in 2011.

Hopefully Sunderland will be the ones Entertaining You next season though.
