Robbie Williams is rejoining Take That for a one-off performance

Robbie Williams is reuniting with Take That for a one-off performance of their greatest hits.

He's once again rejoining the band, but this time it will be virtually to keep fans entertained during coronavirus pandemic.

Robbie, Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald will get together from their individual homes to perform songs while raising money for good causes.

It's part of the Meerkat Music gig series and will be available to stream on the Compare the Meerkat YouTube channel and Facebook page from 8pm on Friday, May 29.

The band will be supporting music therapy charity Nordoff Robbins and Crew Nation, which supports concert crew workers via a relief fund.

It's been arranged by the BGL Group, a financial services company that owns Compare the Meerkat.

Stoke-born Robbie famously rejoined the band in 2010 after years of feuding to release the album 'Progress' which reached number one and became the biggest selling album of the year.

The group then embarked on a world tour as five-piece for the last time before the departure of Jason Orange and Williams.

Since their 1992 debut the group have released hits including Never Forget, Relight My Fire, Patience and Rule the World and sold more than 20 million records in the UK alone.

To watch the live special go to the Compare the Meerkat YouTube channel and Facebook page at 8pm on Friday, May 29.
