Robbie Williams hints at reunion with Take That on 2019 tour: 'We will all ride again'

In news that will delight Take That fans, Robbie Williams has confirmed plans to reunite with his former band to celebrate their 30th anniversary in 2019.

The singer was speaking at the gala night of their new musical The Band in London when he told Magic Radio he wanted to join the Gary Barlow-led group on stage next year at their respective UK tours.

“As long as we stay healthy, I’m sure there’ll be another moment where we all get together,” he said. “Maybe we can coax Jason back, who knows?  We shall have to see. But definitely, definitely in the future. We will all ride again.”

He continued: “Next year when the boys are on tour, I’m on tour too. If we’re in the same place at the same time, there’s an open mic at my gig. I’m sure there’s an open mic at theirs too.”

Jason Orange left the band in 2013, leaving original members Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald – all three of whom attended a one-off charity gala held at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in support of the Elton John AIDS Foundation last night (4 December).

Take That’s UK tour kicks off in April 2019 running through to June. The only UK date on Williams’s schedule currently is his British Summer Time Hyde Park show that was announced last month. Other headliners include Bob Dylan, Neil Young and Florence + the Machine.

Take That helped to raise almost £500,000 for The Independent’s AIDSfree appeal – as they declared that the choice of donating the proceeds from the opening night of their new West End musical was a “no-brainer”.

Williams has been hard at work judging this year’s X Factor contestants alongside Simon Cowell, Louis Tomlinson and wife Ayda Field.
