Robbie Williams thrown off Loose Women live on air after breaking golden TV rule

There's no denying the fact that Robbie Williams i s a national treasure - both in terms of his singing career and his vivacious attitude towards life.

It's fair to say that he's been around a few years now, and with countless TV appearances under his belt, you'd think he'd have a good idea of how the media machine works.

That said, it came as a bit of a surprise to Loose Women viewers, when the singer made a huge on-air blunder, as he didn't realise the show was live. Oops.

It all started when Robbie walked on set at completely the wrong time during Friday's episode. He was meant to come on at 12.55pm, but the singer thought he'd nip in a bit early to see wife Ayda Field - who was sitting on the Loose Women panel.

Panelist Kaye Adams quickly reacted, and awkwardly tried to hurry Robbie off the stage, exclaiming: "You're not on yet."

Robbie, clearly confused by this, retorted: "This isn't live is it? We've started?"

He then began to walk off-stage, and apologised to the viewers for the mix-up. He said: "I just wanted to see my wife. Sorry, carry on everyone."

Ayda laughed: "I love you baby. I'll see you in a bit." Bless their cottons.

When Robbie actually managed to sit down on stage, he explained what had happened.

The 45-year-old said: "I thought you were speaking to Phillip and Holly. And then people were worried. I was like you cannot stop me from seeing my wife. Soz everybody."

What a bloke.
