Robbie Williams admits dating when he was famous in his 20s was 'disappointing'

Robbie Williams has opened up about dating in his 20s - and said it left him feeling "disappointed".

The Angels crooner, 48, said: "Yes, well, we are repeatedly told that we must be in a monogamous relationship and that love will heal us and fill in the gaps. The relationships you had at 20 are not public, mine are forever."

Robbie also opened up on his professional relationships with both Kylie Minogue and Nicole Kidman.

He added with a laugh: “Well then, as Bill Clinton would say, I never had any relationship with any of these women.”

Robbie released the song Kids with Kylie in 2000, five years after his departure from the popular band that skyrocketed him to fame.

Following the release of the song Robbie said that he'd had a crush on the Can't Get You Out of My Head singer but had ruined his chances with her by laughing when she stripped down for the video.

A year later he recorded Somethin' Stupid with Nicole, while the pair were rumoured to have been romantically involved neither had ever admitted it, until seemingly now.

A spokesperson for Robbie is reported to have said that his quotes were 'misunderstood'.

They said: "Robbie was not referring in any way to Nicole or Kylie, he has never had anything but a professional relationship with both women and has only respect and admiration for them."

Robbie married Turkish-American model Ayda Field, 43, in 2010 and the two share four children: Theodora Rose, 10, Charlton Valentine, 7, Colette Josephine, 4, and 2-year-old Beau Benedict Enthoven.
