MRobbie Savage has admitted he is worried about Leeds United but believes the side will not be relegated despite their recent defensive woes.
The Whites lost 4-1 against Leicester City on Monday, and again by the same scoreline away at Crystal Palace on this afternoon. Scott Dann gave the Eagles an early lead at Selhurst Park, and Eberechi Eze doubled their advantage on 22 minutes. However, Patrick Bamford continued his fine form this season with a goal just five minutes later, after having one ruled out earlier on.
Roy Hodgson’s side were too strong on the day, though, and made it three when Helder Costa turned the ball into his own net. Jordan Ayew wrapped up the scoring for Palace with just 20 minutes of the game remaining to inflict even more misery on Marcelo Bielsa’s team.
Leeds have now conceded 17 goals in the Premier League so far this season, which is currently the most in the top-flight.
Savage has admitted he is slightly concerned about the Whites when speaking with Chris Sutton on BT Sport Score.
Sutton asked: "Are you worried about Leeds?"
Savage responded: "They've now conceded four at Anfield, four against Leicester, three against somebody else, four against Palace. Are we talking about being worried in what way, staying up?"
Sutton replied: "Yeah."
Savage added: "No, they'll stay up."
The Whites are without the injured Diego Llorente, who was brought in from Real Sociedad over the summer to add defensive stability at the Yorkshire-based club.
It’s now the international break, meaning Leeds aren’t in action again until November 22, when they welcome the in-form Arsenal to Elland Road. After that, it’s a trip to Everton and Chelsea for Bielsa’s side.
