Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer should make Wales superstar Gareth Bale his number one summer signing priority, according to Robbie Savage.
The BBC pundit says in his column for the Daily Mirror that Bale and Man Utd would be the perfect fit.
Savage makes his suggestion after Solskjaer was appointed permanent manager and amid ongoing speculation surrounding Bale's own Real Madrid future.
He also argues Bale's own options for a return to the Premier League would be limited, given his huge Real Madrid salary.
Pointing out there will be different pressures upon Solskjaer from here on in, Savage says: "It's vital he gets his recruitment right this summer if he is to build on the favourable impressions of the last three months."
Namechecking the Wales captain as a Solskjaer target, Savage says : "If Bale leaves Real Madrid this summer - there are suggestions he may not fit into returning coach Zinedine Zidane's plans - United would be his most realistic hope of a ticket back to the Premier League.
"Manchester City don't need him, Tottenham can't afford his wages with a new stadium to pay for, Chelsea could be under a transfer ban and he probably wouldn't go to Arsenal as a former Spurs player.

"That doesn't leave Bale with many other options in England."
