Robbie Savage makes Premier League top four prediction including Liverpool record

Robbie Savage feels it will be a tight battle for the Premier League's coveted fourth spot, predicting it will be decided by just three points.

Tottenham, Man Utd, Wolves and Sheffield Utd are all giving chase to Chelsea in fourth, with Leicester's place in third seemingly secure.

The Foxes are vying with Man City to finish runners-up to runaway leaders Liverpool, who Sav believes will win the title by a record margin.

With 13 games still to go, there are plenty of twists and turns to come, but Savage is not expecting any changes to this season's established order.

"Top of the league winning it by 110 points, that's Liverpool," Savage tweeted via William Hill. "In second Man City they'll be on 78 points."

That would see the Reds collect their first title in 30 years by a whopping margin of 32.

The current record is held by City, who were 19 ahead of rivals Man Utd in 2017/18 when they earned a record 100 points.

Sav then predicts Leicester to finish above Chelsea by the same eight-point gap they currently hold over the Blues, who he thinks will hold on to fourth spot.

Mourinho's Spurs will miss out according to the BT Sport pundit (PA)

Behind them he places Tottenham just three points off Frank Lampard's men.

The two sides meet in a huge clash in the race for the top four at Stamford Bridge later this month on February 22.

Chelsea must also host United before then on their return after the winter break, but Savage feels the Red Devils will have to settle for sixth in the table.

Wolves have the fewest remaining fixtures against top eight sides out of the chasing pack, but Savage does not fancy them to force their way into Europe next season.

Nor can he see Chris Wilder's Sheffield Utd causing an upset despite them being ahead of both United and Wolves at present.

The Blades have been performing above expectation all season, but BT Sport pundit Sav reckons they're set for a slump in form that will see them finish 12 points off the top four.
