Robbie Savage makes Liverpool and Man City claim about Manchester United star Paul Pogba

Robbie Savage has claimed that Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is good enough to get into Liverpool ’s first-choice line-up.

The France international certainly divides opinion across the football world, including among Man United fans themselves.

The 27-year-old has struggled with injury this season, but has featured in all seven United matches since the Premier League’s resumption last month.

Midfield is an area for Liverpool which has been chopped and changed many times by Klopp in recent seasons, with Fabinho, Gini Wijnaldum, Naby Keita, Jordan Henderson, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and James Milner all vying for a place in the starting 11.

Savage reckons that Ogba has the quality to get into Liverpool and Man City’s line-up, and believes some of the criticism directed the way of the United midfielder is unfair.

“His passing range is incredible,” Savage told BT Sport.

He added: “Let’s not forget, last season he was named in the PFA Team of the Year, the only player outside of Liverpool and Man City.

“That was by his fellow professionals, which is a great accolade.

“He was Man United’s top scorer, the best goalscoring season of his career and he still gets criticised, maybe because he doesn’t recover quicker than some players.

“For me, he is Man United’s best player and he would get in Liverpool and Man City’s team.”
