Former Manchester United trainee Robbie Savage was gifted a T-shirt that read 'Charlie Savage's dad' in BT Sport's coverage of the Boxing Day fixtures.
The gag comes after the ex-Wales international witnessed his son Charlie make his United debut against Young Boys in the Champions League.
During the draw with David Wagner's side, the 18-year-old replaced Juan Mata while his father was in the gantry commentating on proceedings.
The manner in which he made his Reds bow with the 47-year-old on commentary led to comments from Gary Lineker among others.
The Macclesfield director of football recently called to be referred as "Charlie Savage's dad" rather than the United youngster be known as Robbie Savage's son.
Savage enjoyed a long professional career as he starred for Leicester City. Despite winning the FA Youth Cup with the Reds in 1992, he never played a professional minute for the club.
During BT Sport Score's coverage of Sunday's fixtures, the festivities continued as he was gifted a red T-shirt that had "Charlie Savage's DAD" on it.
Savage laughed: "Ah, look at that. That's really nice thank you, thanks, everybody."
Chris Sutton quipped "will that fit?"
Speaking after the momentous occasion for his family, he wrote: "Most importantly, I’m now Charlie Savage’s dad, he shouldn’t be known as Robbie Savage’s son.
"It’s all about him and always has been. He’s made his senior debut for United in the Champions League and he will now want to get into a Premier League squad.
"United have been great at sending young players out on loan and I know there is no better club in the world to structure his pathway."
