Robbie Neilson warns Hearts are gunning for Celtic as boss 'confident' of Parkhead upset

Robbie Neilson has urged Hearts to keep their winning momentum going at Celtic Park on Sunday - and says there's no reason why his team can't upset the Hoops again.

Hearts travel to Glasgow's east end full of confidence after six wins from six in all competitions so far.

That run encompasses that famous victory at Tynecastle on opening day as John Souttar's header condemned Ange Postecoglou to defeat in his first league game in charge.

Celtic have since pulled themselves together with three straight wins - in which they've scored 13 goals against Jablonec and Dundee.

But Neilson remains confident of a seventh straight win as he called on his players to keep the momentum going at his press conference.

He said: “Momentum is big. It affects the mentality of the players. We know that it can change quickly in football.

“The key generally is that if it goes the wrong way you turn it around as quick as you can. The players have managed to do that previously but we need to keep this winning mentality going as long as we can.

“We’re winning games, that’s the most important thing. That’s what a football club is about. We’ve managed to win the first six games of the season and we need to continue it.

“The club’s had a difficult 18 months but it’s turning now and we’re starting to get the positivity back but we need to keep on winning to do that.

“My mindset is still the same. We want to go there and win. We’re in the cup, we’ve got the chance to go and progress into the next round.

“We’ve got a really good team here, we need make additions to give us more strength in depth in the squad, but the actual first 11 to 14 players here are very good.

“We go into it with a lot of confidence.”
