Robbie Neilson lays down Hearts and Hibs fan derby challenge ahead of '200mph' Tynecastle clash

Robbie Neilson has challenged his Hearts players to match the rocking Edinburgh derby atmosphere and rise to the occasion.

Hibs are at Tynecastle for today’s lunchtime kick-off and the winners will be out on their own at the top of the Scottish Premiership table.

It will be a full house in Gorgie and while that can be an effective weapon for the hosts, Neilson has warned his players they must match the intensity of their fans if they are to come out on top.

“You have to keep the emotion in check because it’ll be 200mph,” he said.

“It will be a full house, Tynecastle is going to be rocking and we need to make sure that we match that.

"It’s two teams who are at the top of the league and whoever wins will be top on their own. So we hope it’s us.

“We want to show we can compete for the top four in the league. That’s where we want to be at the end of the season.”

Unlike in the recent Old Firm clash, there will be a full away end with the capital clubs sticking to the agreement that each receives their full allocation.

And Neilson is happy that there will be 3,600 Hibees in the Roseburn stand.

He added: “I think that’s important, it helps with the atmosphere of the game.”
