Robbie Neilson accepts Hearts '10-0' expectations as he lays bare the demand on Jambos to be relentless

Robbie Neilson accepts that the demand at Hearts is such that they’re expected to win every game 10-0.

The Jambos returned to winning ways last week with a 2-0 victory over Greenock Morton after a mini-blip that saw them lose to Dunfermline and Alloa.

The three points at Cappielow took them back to the top of the Championship table ahead of tomorrow’s meeting with Queen of the South at Tynecastle.

But the expectation to win games handsomely - and Neilson has actually won 10-0 whilst in charge of Hearts - never goes away.

And there is no acceptance of winless runs regardless of whether it’s a shortened season or not.

“I was here as a player for 12 or 13 years, I was here as a manager before,” said Neilson. I know what it is like, you're expected to win every game 10-0.

“When it doesn't work out you have to take the flak that comes. The players understand that.

“Rangers have had it for a period, Celtic have got a period, Aberdeen have it, Hibs had it.

“When you play for Hearts it doesn't matter how long the season is, you can't have too many of those days.

"It's about getting back on it again, make sure you win again, make sure you work hard, prepare properly.

"We have got a good team here and we will win games.
