Robbie Keane makes promise to victim of hilarious April Fool's prank in new video message

Robbie Keane has advised the victim of a hilarious April Fool's prank to make sure he gets his own back on his mates in a new video message.

Graham Lawlor was duped into thinking he was about to interview his fellow Tallaght man and football idol on the footballbets4u podcast last week only to find out he had been the victim of a devious and elaborate prank.

Host Colin Coleman told Dublin Live he went to great lengths to convince Graham it wasn't a joke, even photoshopping fake Instagram messages from Ireland's record goal-scorer to make it look like everything was on the level.

Graham spent the night before diligently researching questions to ask his idol only to be completely taken in by the ruse.

"He had done loads of research about Robbie, knew all his stats and clubs," said Colin.

"So I thought on the way home from work it would be funny to bring one of the other guys on to it and pretend to be Robbie then come on mid question wearing a s**t Robbie Keane mask."

A clip of the prank quickly went viral and was seen by Robbie, who shared it on Instagram praising the lads for the brilliant stunt.

And Colin went some way to making it up to Graham on this week's show when he surprised him with a video message from Keane, who promised to soon come on the podcast and answer his questions for real.

But Robbie also advised Graham to get plotting his "sweet" revenge on his fellow podcasters.

The Irish legend said: "I just want to say well done on getting Graham. I thought it was very funny, you absolutely did him up like a kipper.

"But Graham remember, revenge is sweet. Congratulations on the podcast lads.

"I look forward to coming on soon and I'll definitely answer Graham's questions then."
