Robbie Keane linked with Middlesbrough coaching role

Robbie Keane has been linked with a coaching role at Middlesbrough.

The Championship side are set to announce Jonathan Woodgate as their new manager.

Teeside Live reports Woodgate will replace Tony Pulis and will be unveiled alongside his new-look coaching team in the next 36 hours

It's understood former Republic of Ireland international Keane has held talks with the club.

Woodgate and Keane played together at Tottenham and have remained close friends since.

Keane is currently in a coaching role with Mick McCarthy's Ireland side.

Steve Round is also widely reported to be part of the new-look team at Middlesbrough.
