Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler has joked that he is available to take charge of the Reds in Thursday night's Carabao Cup semi-final against Arsenal.
The Reds have submitted an application to have the game postponed due to player shortages and staff absences after more Covid cases at the club.
With Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Naby Keita now at the Africa Cup of Nations, numbers were already short, but Covid cases have made matters worse.

It was also confirmed by Liverpool that assistant manager Pep Lijnders has tested positive for Covid and will miss the game along with Jurgen Klopp.
With Klopp and Lijnders unable to take to the touchline, it is unclear who will take charge of Liverpool if the game was to go ahead.
Fowler, who has managed in India and Australia, simply said on Twitter: "I'm ready."
His 'offer' was accompanied by a wink and a thumbs up.
As things stand, the Reds are still set to travel to London for the game against Arsenal tomorrow.
But a decision is pending from the EFL on whether the tie will go ahead.
Liverpool's pre-match press conference was scheduled for 11am this morning, but had to be cancelled as neither Klopp nor Lijnders were available to take it.
