Robbie Brady is out for better in Ireland's remaining European qualifiers

Ireland must be better if they're to stay ahead in the race for Euros qualification, warns Robbie Brady.

It was a bittersweet night for Brady who blew away his disappointment at not starting by scoring a late second to put the gloss on Ireland's win over Gibraltar.

"I was looking forward to playing a home game," admitted the Burnley midfielder.

"I didn't manage to start, I was delighted to come on a make a difference. It's been a while since I scored and it's been a frustrating year. Hopefully it'll be a good one next year.

"Gibraltar are a totally different team to the last campaign and made it difficult at times.

"We could have taken a bit more care and scored more. We definitely need to tidy up in the next games if we want to push on."

Skipper Seamus Coleman added: "Maybe we were trying to force it too much. We're a bit disappointed with the way we performed.

"We'd like to have been better at times, but we won.

"The important thing is we have 10 points after four games. That's all that matters".
