Robbie Brady and Jeff Hendrick 'eyed' by Celtic as Neil Lennon lines up summer swoop for Ireland pair

Celtic are lining up a summer move for Republic of Ireland pair Robbie Brady and Jeff Hendrick on a free transfer - according to a report.

The duo are out of contract at Burnley and is yet to agree a new deal, meaning they can leave the English Premier League side on a free in the summer.

Brady could be viewed as a replacement for Jonny Hayes whose contract with Celtic is also set to expire.

The 28-year-old can play on the left wing or at left back, however the Hoops face competition from Newcastle for both players, according to TEAMtalk.

Neil Lennon is reportedly a big fan of defender, but Steve Bruce's relationship with the player could push him towards St James' Park.

Brady came through the ranks at Manchester United before joining Hull City under Bruce in 2013.

He moved onto Norwich before joining Burnley but has struggled for game time this season, playing just 15 times in all competitions.

Midfielder Hendrick has been more of a regular, playing 32 times for the club this campaign but is also yet to agree a new contract.

The 28-year-old started his career at Derby before a £10.5m move to The Clarets in 2016.
