Robbery gang armed with knife burst into man's home and take his Volkswagen Golf

A man was left 'incredibly shaken' after a gang of robbers burst into his home and threatened him with a knife.

The raider's escaped with his blue Volkswagen Golf car, an iPhone and cash.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak with in connection with the terrifying robbery in Ashton-in-Makerfield, Wigan.

The victim escaped unhurt.

Four robbers were involved, but no descriptions have been released.

No arrests have been made.

Greater Manchester Police are appealing for anyone with information - or anyone who recognises the man in the image - to come forward.

The robbery happened at a house on Tenbury Drive in Ashton-in-Makerfield on Thursday, January 10, but details have only just been released by police.

In a statement police said: "Four men - armed with a bladed object - entered a house and threatened the homeowner, a man aged in his 20s.

"Thankfully no-one was injured but the victim was left incredibly shaken in his own home.

"The offenders fled in the victim’s blue Volkswagen Golf with a stolen iPhone and quantity of cash.

"Officers have released pictures of a man they want to speak to as part of their enquiries. No arrests have been made and enquiries into the incident are ongoing."
