Robbers with meat cleaver and baseball bat threaten to cut off pub worker's fingers in leafy village

Robbers armed with a meat cleaver and a baseball bat threatened to cut off a pub worker's fingers before stealing cash.

The men stormed The Old Hall Hotel, on Stockport Road, near Altrincham Driving Range, in Timperley, on pedal bikes at around 11.50pm on Monday, May 27.

They threatened the manager and two young members of staff before demanding cash from the safe.

One of the men brandished his weapon at one of the victims, a man in his 20s, and threatened to cut off his fingers.

The victim was left shaken after the terrifying incident.

Both men fled from the pub carrying six bags of money.

One of the bikes they were using is described as red and white with lights on the front.

Police have described one of the men as white, in his late 20s and around 6ft 1.

He was wearing a black cotton hooded top with a zip at the front, a black balaclava and gloves.

The second man is white, in his late 30s and is believed to have scars around his noses and eyes.

He had fair hair and was dressed in a blue homemade balaclava made from shiny black material as well as black gloves.
