Robbers in balaclavas steal cash machine in Christmas Day ram raid in Leeds

Ram raiders struck at a barbers in Leeds in broad daylight this morning.

Police were called to the robbery on Dewsbury Road at 9.19am.

A red pickup truck had driven into the front of the barbers stealing a cash machine.

It left the scene towards Beeston Hill and was followed by a white Transit van.

The truck was later found abandoned on Flaxton Street and has been recovered for forensic examination.

Extensive enquiries along with CCTV are being carried out.

The suspects are described as two men all dressed in black wearing balaclavas.

West Yorkshire Police are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the robbery or who saw the red pickup truck or white van in the area to get in touch.
