Robberies reported on the Southwest Side: police

A string of robberies were reported in Feb. 2020 in Southwest Side neighborhoods. | Sun-Times file

Chicago police are warning residents of a string of robberies reported in February in Southwest Side neighborhoods.

In each incident, two males approach victims, demanded property then fled, Chicago police said in a community alert.

The robberies happened during the morning hours:

  • Feb. 1 in the 3900 block of West 66th Place;
  • Feb. 3 in the 4600 block of West Marquette Road and the 6100 block of South Kilpatrick Avenue;
  • Feb. 5 in the 6100 block of South Troy Street;
  • Feb. 7 in the 6400 block of South Spaulding Avenue and in the 6100 block of South Francisco Avenue.
