Chicago police are warning South Shore residents about a series of recent robberies in the South Side neighborhood.

In each incident, a man approached someone on the street and punched or pushed them before stealing their property, Chicago police said. One victim saw a gun on the man’s person, and two more saw him flee in a silver or gray Nissan sedan.

The robberies happened in the morning and early afternoon hours between Sept. 15 and Oct. 6 in:

· The 7000 block of South Merrill Avenue;

· The 7000 block of South South Shore Drive;

· The 6700 block of South Oglesby Avenue; and

· The 2200 block of East 70th Place.

Anyone with information about these robberies is asked to call Area Central detectives at 312-747-8380.
