Chicago police are warning residents of a pair of robberies reported in January in Hyde Park on the South Side.

In the first incident, a victim was approached by three to four males who got out of a black vehicle and demanded their property, according to a community alert from Chicago police. In the second incident the males exited a beige sedan and punched the person in the neck before taking their property.

Both robberies happened Jan. 3, the first about 2 a.m. in the 5300 block of South Dorchester Avenue, and the second about 9:15 p.m. in the 5400 block of South Blackstone Avenue, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Area Central detectives at 312-747-8380.
