Police are warning Grand Crossing residents to be aware of their surroundings following a pair or robberies reported Sunday.
In each incident the offender walks up to the victim on the street or sidewalk, flashes a gun and demands their property before running away, according to a community alert from Chicago police.
The incidents happened at midnight and 12:30 a.m. Sunday in the 7400 block of South Blackstone Avenue, police said.
Anyone with information about these robberies is asked to call Area Central detectives at 312-747-8380.
