Chicago police are warning residents of a string of robberies reported in December and January in the Gold Coast on the Near North Side.
In each incident, victims were attacked and robbed by two males, according to a community alert from Chicago police. Victims or witnesses described seeing the robbers flee in a white SUV.
The robberies happened during the evening hours:
- Dec. 24 in the 900 block of North Dewitt Place;
- Dec. 30 in the 200 block of East Pearson Street;
- Jan. 2 in the 800 block of North Dewitt Place;
- Jan. 3 in the 900 block of North Dewitt Place;
- Jan. 6 in the 200 block of East Chestnut Street;
- Jan. 7 in the 600 block of North La Salle Drive; and
- Jan. 8 in the 200 block of East Delaware Place.
