
Police are warning Garfield Park residents to be aware of their surroundings following four robberies reported in May and June.
In each robbery, someone approached a person, demanded property and then took it by force before running away, according to a community alert from Chicago police.
The incidents occurred:
- May 22 in the 3400 block of West Polk Street;
- May 25 in the 3400 block of West Harrison Street;
- June 6 in the 3400 block of West Lexington Street and
- June 8 in the 700 block of South St. Louis Avenue.
All of the robberies happened at night or in the early morning hours, police said.
