Robberies reported in Gage Park: police

Chicago police are warning residents of three robberies reported last month in Gage Park on the Southwest Side.

In each incident, one or two teenaged boys approached the victims and demanded their property, according to a community alert from Chicago police.

Police did not say if a weapon was shown.

The robberies happened:

  • About 10 a.m. Oct. 18, in the 2400 block of West 55th Street;
  • about 3:15 p.m. Oct. 18, in the 5500 block of South Western Avenue; and
  • about 2:15 p.m. Oct. 27, in the 5500 block of South Maplewood Avenue.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Area Central detectives at 312-747-8380.
