Robberies reported in Douglas Park: police

Douglas Park

Chicago police are warning North Lawndale residents of a pair of robberies reported at Douglas Park in June.

In both incidents, the offender approached the victim, implied they had a handgun and took property from them by force, according to a community alert from Chicago police.

The first incident happened about 10:40 p.m. June 30 in the 1200 block of South Sacramento Drive and the second occurred about an hour later in the 1200 block of South Farrar Drive, police said.

Anyone with information about these robberies is asked to call Area Central detectives at 312-747-8380.
