Robberies reported in Chicago Lawn: police

Four robberies were reported in June, 2019 in Chicago Lawn on the Southwest Side

Chicago Lawn residents are on alert after a string of robberies were reported in June in the Southwest Side neighborhood.

In each incident, one or two men approached the victim and demanded their property, Chicago police said.

Two of the robberies were reported at 8:55 p.m. June 11 and 4:51 p.m. June 12 in the 6400 block of South Western Avenue, Chicago police. The other two robberies happened about 1 a.m. June 16 and 8 a.m. June 22 in the 2400 block of West 63rd Street.

In addition to the robberies, several vehicle thefts were recently reported in Chicago Lawn as well.

Anyone with information about these robberies is asked to call Area Central detectives at 312-747-8380.
