Police are warning residents of Bridgeport and Chinatown of a string of robberies reported over the last few weeks.
In each case, a person approached someone and demanded or took property by force, Chicago police said in a community alert.
A robbery happened at 3:54 p.m. May 23 in the 200 block of West 27th Street, police said. Another took place at 3:45 p.m. June 4 in the 2900 block of South Wells Street.
The third was at 11 p.m. June 10 in the 2300 block of South Archer Avenue, police said. In one case, the suspect displayed or implied they had a handgun.
In the May robbery, two suspects were described as between 20 to 30 years of age, 5-foot-10 to 6 feet tall and 180 pounds, police said.
The suspect in the June 4 case is described as 6-foot-2 to 6-foot-3 and 140-150 pounds. A 40 to 45-year-old man standing 6-feet tall was described in the other June incident.
