Robber threatens victim with knife at Bristol Harbourside

Police have increased patrols in Bristol city centre after a robber claiming to have a knife stole someone's money.

It happened during daylight hours at the Harbourside last week and Avon and Somerset Police has now launched a witness appeal.

The force said the victim was robbed near Anchor Road, at some point between 4.15pm and 4.45pm last Tuesday (May 4).

Its appeal shared today (Friday, May 14) read: "An unknown male walked up to the victim and stated he had a knife in his possession, before making off with a small quantity of cash.

"No weapon was seen and the victim was not physically injured."

Extra police patrols are being carried out in the city centre as a result.

'Listening to music'

The appeal continued: "The suspect is described as mixed race and was wearing a black hooded jacket and a beanie hat.

"He was with two other males before the incident, who were said to be listening to drill music on a speaker by the Waterfront.

"One of the males is described as black and wearing a black jacket and in possession of a black e-scooter."

It is one of several knife-related crimes reported along the Harbourside in recent weeks, including a stabbing in Millennium Square last month.

Anyone who saw the robbery has been asked to call 101, providing reference number 5221096514.
