Robber strikes in Goose Island, Lincoln Park

Multiple robberies have been reported since March 14 in Goose Island and Lincoln Park, including several in the 1500 block of North Clybourn Avenue. | Google Maps

Police are warning residents about a series of robberies this month in Goose Island and Lincoln Park.

In each case, a man walked up to victims, grabbed property from their hands and ran away, according to a community alert from Chicago police. He brandished a knife during one of the hold-ups.

The robberies occurred:

  • In the early morning March 26 in the 1500 block of North Clybourn Avenue;
  • In the morning March 25 in the 2100 block of North Sedgwick Street;
  • In the evening March 24 in the 1500 block of North Clybourn; and
  • In the evening March 13 in the 1500 block of North Clybourn.

The suspect was described as a 5-foot-8, 170-pound man between 18 and 25 years old, police said.
