Villa were ahead twice, with midfielder John McGinn opening the scoring, with Nicolas Pepe then scoring his first Arsenal goal from the penalty spot to equalise, only for Wesley Moraes to put Villa back in front, after Ainsley Maitland-Niles was sent off just before half-time.
However, Arsenal mounted an impressive comeback from seemingly out of nowhere with Calum Chambers equalising in the 81st minute, followed by a vital strike from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who sealed the win in the 84th minute, sending the Gunners fans into raptures.
Aubameyang was one of Arsenal's best players on the day and capped it off with a winning goal, whilst Matteo Guendouzi also put in an outstanding performance in the second-half to bring Arsenal back into the game.
However, the Fantasy Premier League clearly didn't agree.
After the game, the FPL announced the bonus points awarded for Arsenal vs Aston Villa on their official Twitter page.
As you can see, there was no mention of Aubameyang at all, despite his performance and match winning goal, with McGinn, Pepe, Grealish and Wesley all mentioned instead.
Three Villa players got bonus points, despite being on the losing side against ten men.
Predictably, Arsenal fans were not happy with the FPL's decision about Aubameyang and let their feelings be known on Twitter.
As you can see, the Arsenal fans are clearly not happy with Aubameyang missing out, but also with Guendouzi missing out too.
Do you think Aubameyang should have got at least one bonus point for dragging the ten men of Arsenal to victory?
