'Robbed' - Fans raging with Fantasy Premier League decision over Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold

Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold has made a magnificent start to the 2019/20 Premier League season so far, helping the Reds to the top of the league table after winning four games out of four, maintaining their 100% record.

Before Liverpool's clash with Burnley at the weekend, Alexander-Arnold had registered two assists in his first three games, showcasing an excellent ability to create chances from his full-back position.

But, in the 33rd minute of Liverpool's game against the Clarets on Sunday, the 20-year-old defender thought he'd claimed his first goal of the season too, after his cross from the right looped up and over Nick Pope, nestling in the bottom corner to make it 1-0.

This will have made all the players who have Alexander-Arnold in their Fantasy Premier League team very happy indeed.

However, on further inspection, the Premier League made the decision that the opener was actually a Chris Wood own goal, with the cross looping off the New Zealand forward on it's way into the net.

This was also confirmed by the Fantasy Premier League, who broke the news on Twitter.

They confirmed the Wood own goal decision, but also confirmed that Alexander-Arnold would get points for an assist, for the part he played in the goal.

As you would expect, fans who had Alexander-Arnold in their FPL team were not happy with their decision, and made their feelings known on Twitter.

Even Reds manager Jurgen Klopp's was visibly shocked by the decision in his post-match press conference after he was told the goal had been confirmed as an own goal, rather than Alexander-Arnold's first goal of the season.

The German said: "Really? How is that possible?

"Well okay, we’ll make do anyway.

"Err, well yeah. Okay we were a bit lucky with the own goal but anyway we forced that situation."
